Saving Our Sharks and the Kab Xok Cooperative, present their model of\u00a0 transition from fishing to conservation<\/strong><\/h3>\n

As part of the Forum \u201cConversaciones a nivel del mar<\/strong><\/a>\u201d Forum, organized by Ra\u00edces Firmes<\/em>, a nonprofit organization based in Yucat\u00e1n, the Fundaci\u00f3n Saving Our Sharks<\/a> and the Cooperativa Kab Xok<\/a> were invited to share their experiences during a panel focused on marine conservation and sustainable development.<\/p>\n

Ra\u00edces Firmes Forum was a resounding success. Held at Restaurante Chamana<\/a> in Hotel Pachamaya Canc\u00fan<\/a>, it featured a three-day series of public talks led by experts from diverse fields. The forum\u2019s goal was to make. knowledge accessible, engaging, and digestible for non-specialist audiences. Each day centered on a different sustainability-related theme, with a strong focus on local perspectives. This platform proved instrumental in highlighting projects that are making a positive impact on coastal communities and marine ecosystems throughout the state.<\/p>\n
