Shark fishing is a tradition that goes back generations on Isla Mujeres. The Masters of the Sea from the Kab Xok and Huachisan fishing cooperatives of the Isla Mujeres Shark Initiative are giving up their traditional livelihoods.
Instead of fishing sharks, they have become their protectors.
